The watts are spec’d at 188 watts RMS but this sub even at just 10 inches, hands down crushes most HTIB subwoofers. I can’t give the sub enough credit but the purchase price on this system is easily worth just getting the sound out of this subwoofer. We bought this system before we were real sound quality enthusiast, and now that I know more about audio systems I am really blown away with the quality of the Logitech Z5500 speakers. For all of you out there that are audiophiles you may find that there is a slight loss in some of the mid range sounds but that’s just how it goes with a satellite speaker system and is not really that big of a deal in my opinion since most of the sounds you really notice are highs and low. The crossover more than makes up for the mids and sounds great. Once again this system blows away $1000 systems I have heard.

The batteries that come with the Logitech Z5500 system are by a company called Eastpower and they make incredible batteries because I have not replaced them since I bought the speaker system.

You will definitely never have to look for a new computer speak system again and if you want to upgrade the sound system further all you have to do is get a good sound card. I would avoid getting a Creative sound card but the HT Omega is perfect and is what we have installed on our computer. Remember when you get this system you are getting a THX certified speaker system and it is right on up there with high priced home entertainment systems.
